SportGo Round Table about "Training needs for the management of semi-professional sports clubs"
Today, Friday 26th May, has taken place the Regional Promotional Round Table “Training needs for the management of semi-professional sports clubs” at the University of Alicante organised by the International Project Management Office (OGPI), in the framework of the Erasmus+ project “sportGO – How to lead a sport club to a successful future”.
The roundtable, moderated by Dr. Franco Sancho, Professor of the Department of Marketing at the University of Alicante, was attended by 14 people, mainly representatives from several sport clubs.Participants were welcomed by Noelia López, Senior Project Manager at the International Project Management Office (OGPI), who presented the project sportGO and the results and lessons learnt from the pilot training course in management of semi-professional sports clubs, delivered last year at the University of Alicante.
Following this presentation, Dr. Franco Sancho, presented a summary of experiences from the teachers that delivered the pilot course. Finally, the round table was conducted, focusing on the main training needs of the semi-professional sport clubs in the region and the type of training to respond to these training needs. Attendees actively participated in the discussions that were promoted during the round table and provided a key input in order to deliver training courses adapted to their context and needs.
