V2WORK project partners, in the University of Alicante

The University of Alicante has welcomed today the partners of the V2WORK project in its Campus of San Vicente del Raspeig for the Kick off Meeting of 'Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Educatin System to Improve Graduates Employability and Entrepreneurship Skills'  (V2WORK ), a project coordinated by the University of Alicante and co-funded by the European Commission within the framework of the Erasmus + program. 

The V2WORK project objective is to strengthen the capabilities of the higher education system of Vietnam to improve the employability and entrepreneurship skills of its students and graduates, and strengthen its relations with the labor market.

Last 25th May the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), which manages different EU education programmes on behalf of the European Commission, organised a cluster meeting for all Vietnamese Higher Education Institution partners of selected Capacity Building for Higher Education projects. Representatives from the ENHANCE and REACT projects coordinated by the University of Alicante, were selected to attend the Cluster Meeting.
The main aim of meeting that took place at the Novotel Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, was to seek synergies and identify the different challenges and best practices. The following topics were addressed: experience in international cooperation, experiences in the implementation and management of projects under the Eramus + programme, main challenges faced and dissemination of project results.

Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are the three countries on which the new European project takes its first steps this week at the University of Alicante (UA). REACT (strenghtening climate change REsearch And innovation Capacities in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam) aims to strengthen the area of research on climate change issues in these Asian countries. Coordinated by the UA and with the participation of 11 partners, the project is funded by the EU under the Erasmus + program and lasts for three years.

The next REACT meeting will be held in Laos in October, at the Souphanouvong University in Luang Prabang.

Rossana Pinna and Inmaculada Caturla have been in Brussels January 25th and 26th participating in the Conference Capacity Building for Higher Education Project Representatives Meeting.
The OGPI Financial Management experts have been representing two winning projects in the last ERASMUS + K2 call (Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education EAC / A04 / 2015). In particular, they presesented REACT project (Strengthening climate change REsearch And innovation CapaciTies in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam) and INDOEDUC4ALL (Ensuring Access and Quality Education for Students with Disabilities in Indonesian Universities).
