SLEEK, “Sierra Leone Education in Entrepreneurial pedagogy & sKills” aims to strengthen Sierra Leone’s capacity to develop a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem & create new jobs by enhancing entrepreneurial teaching & learning Sierra Leone HEIs.

SLEEK, aligned with Erasmus+ CBHE priority of sustainable growth & jobs, focuses on upskilling teachers (increasing graduate employability), and promoting youth & women entrepreneurship, and strengthening links between academic & business sectors regarding skills development. By addressing identified weaknesses in entrepreneurial education in Sierra Leone SLEEK contributes to increasing entrepreneurial output, strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystem & job creation.

SLEEK specifically aims to:
(1) Develop a comprehensive entrepreneurship pedagogy curriculum for Sierra Leone educators to produce more innovative & practical entrepreneurship courses for HEI students & local entrepreneurs, by constructing a toolkit for entrepreneurship educators & designing a training program specifically targeted at entrepreneurship educators, with variations incorporated taking into account they are university academics or trainers from business support services, incubators etc.
(2) Expand Sierra Leone HEIs' business services to support entrepreneurship educators with innovative teaching methodologies and access to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem to integrate the business sector into the educational process, through the creation of an “Entrepreneurship Academy”, with a specific purpose to train entrepreneurship educators & promote entrepreneurship education & skills development. They will implement pilot training programs for educators. Entrepreneurship educators in each partner HEI will be invited to review their courses in collaboration with a business sector representative and make adjustments to improve the quality of the course & increase their students’ skills’ development. EAs will also support market women & girls' business skills.
