RESET - Redefining research management structures and research career development to accelerate Green Growth in Lao PDR, is a Strand 3 CBHE project that aims to modernize research management structures at Lao HEIs while promoting sustainable career development for researchers working in areas connected to Green Growth in Lao PDR.
To address this general objective, the project, that will be implemented in a span of 4 years, has set 3 Specific Objectives:
• Empowering researchers with relevant training, skill sets, innovative resources and supporting services.
• Modernizing research management units and strategies in Lao HEIs.
• Developing a policy framework to foster research career development paths in areas related to Green Growth.
This consortium, led by Champasack University (CU, Coordinator) brings together all 5 public Higher Education Institutions in Lao PDR: National University of Laos (NUOL), Souphanouvong University (SU), Savannakhet University (SKU), University of Health Science (UHS). The Ministry of Education and Sport (MOES) has also been brought onboard to ensure engagement of relevant stakeholders inside the Lao Higher Education System, as well as the alignment of the RESET policy related activities with national research strategies and frameworks.
Last, but not least, 3 European institutions (Universidad of Alicante (UA), University of Freiburg (ALU), with a wide experience in research management, will provide Lao partners with high level training on relevant skills and tools, and expert guidance on the implementation of project activities.
