This project aimed at developing an online curriculum for an MIS program to be applied within an open learning methodology. The project utilized existing e-learning platforms technologies and expertise present in EU and candidate countries to build an integrated virtual learning environment that supported the above curriculum.
The project was build on the top of available open source platforms to produce the environment that in turn was available as an open source environment. The online courses produced and the resulting environments have been beneficial for all the parties participating in the consortium.
Specific Project Objectives:
• Develop an online masters program.
• Reduce the costs associated with higher education.
• Improve the quality of available open source learning platforms.
• Enhance teacher-learner interaction methods.
