There are four specific objectives of the project: To boost research environment and to promote research culture at MUBS/AIU and other Lebanese and Syrian Universities: This will be realized by capacity building and creating networks with EU counterparts for exchanging know-how and good practices. To promote modernization of curricula and teaching skills and methods in the field at MUBS/AIU and other Lebanese and Syrian Universities in accordance with the EU experience by organizing related training courses and seminars. To set and operate knowledge triangle (education, innovation, research) in LB/SY by engaging the Lebanese and Syrian business sector representatives in the project activities to facilitate the strategic linkages with academia. To propose policies and regulations in order to improve the research and teaching environment in the field in LB/SY. These objectives address clearly two identifiable national priorities for joint projects, namely Knowledge Triange (Education, Innovation and Research) and development of partnerships with enterprises. Moreover, the objectives address the Southern Neighbouring Area (ENPI South) regional priority for joint projects: development of partnership with enterprises. The participants from LB/SY make up a good representation in different means. The project involves both academic and non academic partners. The partners represent public (LU) and private universities (MUBS, AIU and IUST), universities with good participation in Tempus (MUBS & LU) and those with limited participation (AIU and IUST), covering Lebanon and Syria in the ENPI South region.
