The project aim was the integration of the NIS region in matters of the 6th EU framework programme (FP6). For this reason the NIS already built up national information points (NIPs) similarly to the national contact points in the INTAS members.
Amongst other things for the integration and the participation of the NIS regions in Preparations of proposals the knowledge about IPR issues especially in respect of the FP6 was necessary.
The training of the staff of NIPs concerning IPR issues enabled the staff of the NIPs to pass on information concerning IPR
crucial for the participation in FP6 to the scientific and administrative staff of universities and research organisations.
