Strategic objectives addressed in the project were:
Set-up and testing of a pilot TTT service with the ultimate goal of making the TTT process self-sustainable, enlarging the scope from SMEs to Large companies and other major stakeholders, gaining insight from three relevant and complementary sectors in Europe to further extend it after project closure to several industrial clusters in Europe and the world.
IRCs pioneered Translational Technology Transfer in Europe. Although they embrace the TTT mission widely, core business and key results are mainly focused on SMEs. The introduction of Open Innovation paradigms by large enterprises validated this pioneering approach by EC. “YET2.com” was launched to exploit IPR assets from large companies. The strategic project objective is to deploy the service to other candidate sectors suitable for effective cross-sectorial cooperation with the ultimate goal of promoting and encouraging TTT across industrial clusters in enlarged Europe and world-wide.
