The general objective of the India IP SME Helpdesk is to contribute to the internationalisation of EU SMEs by providing them with expert advice on how to protect and enforce their IP in or relating to India. The services of the India IP SME Helpdesk shall aim at improving the awareness, management and protection of IP assets by EU SMEs that operate or intend to operate in the aforementioned country.
The main target group of the India IP SME Helpdesk will be EU SMEs and SMEs established in COSME countries with trade interests in India. The service will focus on EU SMEs already doing business in India, as well as those potentially interested in establishing ventures in these countries. In most of the cases EU SMEs are not even aware of the importance that IP could play in their business. Or in the cases they are already aware, they have specific questions and issues to be addressed and solved that require tailor-made and user-friendly IP assistance.
