The overall objective of the HEIP-link project is:
To strengthen cooperation and awareness among European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and their strategic counterparts (BRICS, Latin America, ASEAN) in research, through enhancing knowledge of R&D collaboration framework issues.

Specific objectives:
• To promote networking, good practice in IP Management from EU HEIs and stimulate policy level dialogue for harmonisation of IP management practices;
• To identify and raise awareness on the key framework issues (particularly IPR) of cross-border research collaboration and knowledge transfer in EU, BRICS, Latin America and Asia;
• To provide practical support for research collaboration, through creating and running a web portal as a ‘one-stop-shop’ which allows identifying cross-border collaboration aspects (including: funding sources and rules for collaboration, dedicated authorities supporting R&D, legal frameworks and good practice (including an interactive decision-making guide).

HEIP-link is a cooperation of 11 Higher Education Institutions and networks from Europe, Latin America, BRICS, and ASEAN countries, covering approximately 60 countries on 3 continents.
