The pandemic disrupted internationalisation strategies, heavily reliant on student mobility, revealing outdated curricula and limited virtual teaching and learning environments especially affecting regional and remote Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
HUBIoC seeks to build institutional capacities and develop leaders on Internationalisation of the Curriculum to respond to the needs of a global and intercultural society. In an increasingly interconnected world both technologically and academically, it is imperative to democratise strategies, methodologies and innovative tools to strengthen the quality, relevance and impact of the curriculum in HEIs through the diversity of benefits of the Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC).
Latin American HEIs will identify institutional and personnel (teachers and administrative staff) capacities related to Internationalisation of the Curriculum. Based on this diagnosis, HEIs will build and strengthen teachers and administrative staff capacities related to the IoC, intercultural competences and global citizenship, through the design of global teaching and learning classrooms. By the end of the project HEIs will have built a global effective and sustainable network towards the IoC.
The specific objectives of HUBIoC are:
- SO1. To identify institutional and personnel (teachers and administrative staff) capacities related to IoC
- SO2. To build and strengthen teachers and administrative staff capacities related to IoC intercultural competences and global citizenship, through the design of a global teaching/learning classroom.
- SO3. To build a global effective and sustainable network towards IoC.
