The PROTECT project addressed the need of Ukrainian universities to improve their university business realtions via creating a university system for entrepreneurial activites support able to facilitate improvements in general climate for spin-off businesses creatoin, technology transfer, self-employment of students, staff members and graduates.
The project's specific objectives were:
to learn and benchmark best practice and experiences in the field of support to entrepreneurial activities, to adapt them to the local conditions, to improve legal frameworks for operation of spin-off SMEs;
to create an Office for technology transfer and entrepreneurial activities support in Cherkassy able to operate and remain sustainable beyond the project framework;
to implement the Office´s pilot operation in order to improve working skills, promote the offices in the country and the region, to reinforce links between universities, industry and authorities.
