The International Conference Fostering Cooperation in Energy Efficiency and Accessibility in East Africa, jointly organised by the ENRICH and Succeed Network projects, is taking place today 13th March and tomorrow at the Z Ocean Hotel Kihinani in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

 

The main aim of this International Conference is to bring together stakeholders involved in the field of Energy from academia, researchers, project managers, NGOs, representatives of the industry and policy makers in order to encourage dialogue and strengthen cooperation links in the energy sector in East Africa. The Conference has been inaugurated by the Principal Secretary of the  Water, Energy and Environment Ministry of Zanzibar. Participants include representatives from HEIs, policy makers, private sector and NGOs from Burundi, Kenya, Lesotho, Mauritius, Namibia, Rwanda, Suriname, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and from the EU from Spain and Scotland.

The Director of the International Management Office (OGPI), Dr. Roberto Escarré, Ms. Cristina Beans and Ms. Noelia López, Senior Project Managers at OGPI, and Dr. Oana Driha, from the International Economy Institute of the University of Alicante are participating in the conference.
