Some of the participants in the International Course of Deans.

25 deans from Latin American universities in Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru met yesterday at the University of Alicante to participate in the second module of the International Course of Deans of Latin America. The course is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Conference of Rectors, within the DIES Program of Management, with the aim of developing and strengthening capacities and acquiring specific knowledge to enable them to better manage their Higher Education Institutions. 

According to the director of the course at the UA, Joaquín Marhuenda, "during the next week the working days will focus on the development of Module 2 on Quality and Accreditation, Strategic Planning and Financial Management and Search for funding opportunities with the aim of presenting and to describe the good practices of each European university so that the representatives of Latin American universities can apply the knowledge in their institutions. " José Vicente Cabezuelo, Director of the Iberoamerican Campus of the UA, has highlighted the good harmony between the participating institutions.

In addition, this module taught by the University of Saarlanders and the University of Alicante will serve to establish the basis of the general programming of the Strategic Plan for SAP action, which runs until the end of the course.
